** Front Tires size**

have anyone replaced the front tires with lower / wider tires without having to loose the fenders??

What tire size besides the stock one can I use? I wanna go with a lower tire but loosing the fender is not an option...

Thanks

185/60r14 just fits. No tire rub. Would not be able to go bigger. Just make sure the marker lite wires are on the OUTSIDE of the fender brace.:2thumbs:

I wonder what this does to your traction control and other computer settings...a wider tire gives you worse traction in inclement weather, but more traction on dry pavement. However, more traction also means more friction, and this means a decrease in mileage.

Why change the front tire width?

This has had absolutley no effect on the traction control or any other system. It has increased handeling in both wet and dry conditions. The tires are alot better and also cheaper!!Has noet affected gas mileage.:clap::2thumbs::2thumbs:

Which brand of tire looks to have the best traction? Seems they last a long time so I'm not worried about the wear factor. Looking to get a set to match a new rear.

I was planing on getting regular tires for the front. I have a Yokohama car tire on the back. Why not on the front. Upper and lower control arms, Power assisted steering. Just like my vette. Went to my buddies place Front-end Performance. And had Jim look at my spyder, and ask can you aline this bike. Yes, it's about the same size as a Mini Copper front end. I put the Spyder on his rack. Bring it back when you need it aline he said. Great now all I need to do is find a nice pair of white walls.nojoke White Wa:ohyea:lls

tires

I had falken 512 tires on the spyder and they were good. 185/60/14
Sold them to another spyder lover because I put on a bigger tire size. Had to modify fenders and brackets.

Cool beans...interesting that the mileage wouldn't be affected as you're increasing friction...I guess it's a negligible amount...
