• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Front Spocket & Belt Alignment issues

Started with a creaking noise when I pushed my spyder around.

http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?65832-Creaking-noise-from-front-sprocket

Re-torqued bolt/pulley to 80ft/lbs (max my wrench would go). Went to re-align the belt tracking; Then I noticed that the right adjuster was loose. The belt needs to move closer to the rear flange, so I turn adjuster bolt CCW. But this only makes the adjuster extreamly loose. Not sure what I am doing wrong :banghead:???

I think I need to re-tighten the axle, tighten right adjuster (so that it is longer loose), then re-start the belt tracking re-align process.

Also been seeing all the threads on here about sprocket failure, driveshaft failures. I do not have an "X" on my bolt/pulley. I am noticing some wetness behind the sprocket and rust looking. Not sure if it is coming from another source (leak) or the driveshaft. Question: If the driveshaft seal fails, will it appear as a oil or fluid leak?

Less than two weeks away from Syderfest trip and need to get this issue resolved ASAP. Thanks in advance for any HELP!!!!!!:pray::pray:

Let's see..!!

Loosen the axel. Snug up the left adjuster to start getting the tension set. Tighten the right one keeping the axel even. I measure from center axel to back of swingarm. Once you have the tension set rotate the tire to see the tracking and adjust accordingly. This is a tricky process for the first time or two..good luck you will get it...
