Friend having a weird problem

"Anyway, he called me tonight and said that long story short, the Spyder would only stay running in reverse and that as soon as he puts it in any forward gear it dies instantly."
Just trying to understand. Does he put it in first, then pull the "R" lever, and then put it in reverse, and then start it? We are missing some important info......
Oh, and make sure to check the switch on the kickstand.:shemademe_smilie::thumbup:

Well my friend never called. He was away at KC this weekend so 1 of 2 things happened is my guess. He hasn't made it back yet or hopefully he figured out it was user error and got it going finally.

I will update this thread as soon as I find out what happened when I see him tomorrow night at work. Thanks again for all the advice :2thumbs:
