• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Freedom Trailer Help

We are picking up our Freedom trailer on Saturday with our Toyota Tacoma pickup and as I look at the Ca Am specs the trailer is listed as 45" wide and the distance between the wheel wells on the Tacoma is 42 1/2 inches. I have looked at videos of the trailer and it appears that the wheels are a little inboard of the largest width of the trailer. Is there anyone who has this trailer that would be willing to measure the distance to the outside of the wheels?

Thanks
Susan

What about towing it home with your Tacoma?

I towed a 622 trailer with my Tacoma from Florida to North Carolina, no problem at all. BRP has a kit to adapt the trailer wiring harness to the standard truck harness, I think it was about $145.00, and is called "4 pin adapter", that's for 2012 and prior. The kit for 2013 and newer is much less expensive. They also included safety chain extensions in the kit.
I can pull the trailer with truck anytime I want with no hassles.

I used a adapter that I bought from Toyota dealer to connect a 622 to my Tacoma. Except for a few strange looks, worked fine.

Thanks everyone for your tips, we picked the trailer up on Saturday and loaded it in the back of the truck - my husband did a great job tying it down and the 2 hours home were just fine. We will put it up for the winter with the Spyder and will surely have some fun trips as soon as the snow melts in the Spring in NH.
