• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I got the call tonight that my spyder was finally ready. Brian and I jumped in the van after he finished his dinner, (had to let him eat, he was starving) and off we went. She looks and sounds good and so far is handling well. The shifting was a little tight at first, and I had trouble getting it into neutral. I went back and asked and they said it was just tight, that it would be great after riding a short time and they were right. I rode home and then after I got home I just had to go our for another ride. Hey it is a balmy 30 degrees and it isn't snowing so this was a good day to pick it up. I know it doesn't make up for everything but I did get a new $55 pair of winter BRP gloves when I went to pick it up. The owner was there and I was just checking out the gloves and I mentioned that he should throw those in. He said I was right, it was the least he could do. Anyway, my poor spyder has a wrap sheet about 5 pages long, I haven't even gone over it yet. Here are a couple of fuzzy photos Brian took of me as I was getting ready to break out of the clink...LOL

:congrats::2thumbs:

IT HAS BEEN TOO LONG... BUT Great you're back on the road! For sure the gloves don't make up for the LONG way... but hey... you're back up and running!

Cheers and Ryde Safe!

I'm so glad to hear that Deb. I had another talk with Carlo and he told me the situation.:gaah: I'm glad this chapter is over. :thumbup:

:congrats: I am very glad to see you finally have it back home. The owner was right as well, it was the "least" he could have done.

Me and 1000+ other riders watched and waited.
and its over-------we are all happy for you.

:congrats:

Hope it runs like new. Also hope they can get that yellow one up and running!

I know you've ridden in the cold much more than I - but I found the shifting to be stiffer in the cold weather - downshifting in particular was a bit off compared to warm weather riding.

Also - didn't someone post out here that the DPS has a temp that it turns off at? Maybe that is the stiffness you're feeling?

Good Luck !

I believe it was Tatt2r that had the Check DPS scroll across the screen when first starting the Spyder in very cold weather.

Music to my ears and Joy to my eyes! This is probably the best 30 degree day you've had in a LONG TIME! :yes:

Can't wait to get together and go for a ride! :ohyea:

Way to go, Deb! Now go out in the garage and tell your baby that it doesn't ever have to go back to that bad place!:shemademe_smilie:
