There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. love the set up

:clap:hey spydyr,I been wanting to do do for a while. How does it handle and ride? I see you have 5 lug wheels. Where did you get that 5 lug set up and the fenders? Did you put it together yourself? Does it change the speedometer? Hope you get back to me. Very cool.

my concern would be do those wide tires hydroplane ....and how were the 5 lug wheels adapted to the 3 lug bike i've build dune buggies years ago that we adapted 5 lug chevy wheels to 4 lug vw hubs and found that they were made from aluminum and snapped easily ,,,, looks cool though very different mod .... not too crazy about lights on front fenders but just my opinion .... would like to see finished product when done...please dont take it the wrong i think it looks awesome just wondering how it handles now ...

I put this together myself. The wheel adapters were made brom billet aluminum. The fender struts are modified stock pieces. The fenders are modified trailer fenders. The tires are two inches wider but exactly the same diameter. The ride is basically the same but the handling is much more responsive. I think that is due more to the low profile of the tire more than the width.

So when are you gonna sell me a set of the wheel adapters?

Man, I love that wheel/tire combo. I plan to go fenderless and that would look great. How many miles since the conversion and have you encountered any problems? Let us know if it has any negative consequences w/ DSS, ABS, etc.

You know, I do believe that is a very cool mod. I don't know why, but very wide tires just seem like they are extra stable and able to handle more lateral forces.

Must have :2thumbs:

Looks great, something I would definitely consider...nice tuner exhaust too! I removed the lowest fairing pieces a couple weeks ago and was messing with some foamboard and an old R/C airplane wing...an Indy car front lower wing looks very good on this machine. Thinking about trying to get one of those fabbed up once economy straightens out.

Wow, more stuff to play with this winter. Couple of questions; is the offset on the new wheels with the adapters the same as the stock wheels? And how would it look with a line of small LEDs on the leading edges of the fenders?
Lessee, get some small air scoops and modify them for roadlamp housings on the top of the fenders, and... back to the drawing board. Look out checkbook.

OK, I'm goin naked w/ big stupid tires - those fenders are gonna come off on my :spyder:! HDX has been just itchin to do it anyway!

mods...

I'd assume that changing tire size would void the warranty as it changes the electronic responses, handling, etc...in addition, makes it more dangerous to ride should it be wet...

Looks cool though...
