• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Perhaps this guys video might help you. Even Porsche builds a lemon every now and then.

NOTE: Dude does use some salty language

and his update:

What a smart and innovative way to share all the issues he incurred , liked every bit of how he presented them, well done:clap:, can't wait for the final video wrap up! He has a great sense of humor. Saved up for five years to buy his dream car.

We have GOT to get this guy and his dog, on a Spyder!! :2thumbs: :roflblack:
He'd feel right at home! :D

Glad to see that Porsche stepped up, and did the right thing.

Lemon

My wife had a Boxter and the engine froze up. Porche did not stand behind it because we were just over the warrenty period. It froze due to a design flaw in that year of Boxter. Cost us over $14k to get the damn thing fixed. Then traded it in on a Honda S2000.

I can soooo relate.....I love my Spyder....I just want it to get me from point a to point b and home .......I have had so many issues with the ST...I have forgotten some.....but I never wanted people to hate BRP....I only wanted BRP to do the right thing.....right now things seem to be good after the flash to the ECM....new panels go on this weekend....we are feeling confident that the Spyder is going to run as BRP designed it and what we paid for is a good running machine....we are investing in mods again....that shows confidence

Wow..!!

Amazing that they would have gone that long with that many different issues and not just exchange the car. Dosen't take much to realize there is something major going on. Glad he is getting a suitable solution to his plight...smart retaliation to the threats....
