• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

1. who is doing your service and are you satisfied. I am in Essex county and looking for a referral.
2. I am thinking the baharon sway bars will fix one of my handling issues with my 2013 RSS SE5. I just not sure where to get them installed. Also has anyone near me gotten the laser alignment ? if so where ?

Thanks in advance

Bought my STL at Motorcycle Mall in Belleville; had them do the break-in service. I just did the next oil change myself; I don't plan to go back to them unless I need warranty work.

I had a laser alignment and BajaRon treatment at Spyderfest; Squared Away did the alignment and Spyderpops installed the bar. Locally, reach out to user rnet who does alignments; he's in Accord NY, about an hour up the Thruway. Pretty sure he does swaybar installs too.

I can't point to one thing and say "they did me wrong because...". But it's just that the service and parts department rubs me the wrong way.

* They don't take service appointments; it's first-come-first-served. Since they also carry a lot more brands (their showroom has just a small section for Spyders) I wonder about their parts inventory.
* That said, if you bought your Spyder there, when you come in for your break-in service, you go to the head of the line. And part of the break-in service is free (I don't remember whether it was the labor, parts, or oil.)
* I stopped in one day to buy a bottle of oil cause I wanted a full, unopened one for my trip to Spyderfest. The bottles are right there, on the shelf, in the store, next to the jackets and helmets, etc. In order to buy it, I had to take it to the parts counter, get them to print up an invoice, take the bottle and the invoice to the checkout counter to pay for it. After paying for it, they stamped the invoice which I then had to show to Mr. Security Guard who hole-punched the invoice. I could understand that if I needed the parts guy to go into the back to get brake pads, for example or was purchasing a $500 leather jacket. But why all the rigamarole just for a bottle of oil? When I mentioned "you folks sure make it hard to give you money for something" the response was a shrug and "that's what the owner wants." That tells me there's no independent thought around making the customer happy. I don't like visiting places like that, especially with online shops like Amazon and Revzilla.

I have a similar story I live in Montclair so you k ow how close they are to me I went there several times the sales people weren't interested in helping me they even had my bike on the sales floor I said I'll take it they called me later and said it was already sold lol I never worked so hard to give someone my money and was unsuccessful . I ended up buying it in new York . That's the quick version

I had no problems with Motorcycle Mall yet.I usually do not get service done by any dealer unless its a recall. There are lots of people that say MM sucks then there's a lot that say good things about MM :dontknow:I did buy my RT-S at MM and had no problems.

I agree the salesperson and service advisor can make or break any experience . Unfortunately, I have never encountered any good ones there. However, I am sure they are not all bad.
