• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

still researching both ideas and still banging my head. noticed some of you have used the SFB floorboards, on their website this product if adjustable but does not say to what or how. Is the floorboard adjustable to your feet or do you adjust your feet to the floorboard ???? Esi foot pegs have adjustable length brackets you can get to adjust position, any ideas on how this works, looks like either way is within my price range, but want the most flexibility for my investment. Hope for some ryder/readers comments, ideas, answers. Thanks.:banghead:

floorboards

i have an 08 gs sm5, and i put on seal floorboards a year ago. i really enjoy them es i can move my feet all over the boards so have unlimited positions. they are so nice to stand on when getting on or off machine. i am only 5' 6" tall so these boards work great. if you are a lot taller they may be to high for you. hope this helps. the seal boards are very good quality.

ya, looked at the seal boards as well, am taller than you, they are quite pricey tho, for what I want. Planning a trip from Canada down to the Oregon coast, just for a little more comfort for riding position during the trip for a reasonable price...

Wife got me a set of street magic brackets for Christmas, with the links (I got 3") there should be all kinds of adjusting possible....can't wait to get them mounted & checked out.

Dannymax, how did you come to the conclusion of a 3 inch link ??? What made you decide that versus a shorter one ? Do you have them installed yet ? Got pics ?

If you look on my website you will see 8 Leggerd Freak on his black RT. He is 6'6" and a big guy. He has been one of my biggest supporters but I have lots of big and tall riders. Look on the Gallery Page.

Ride in comfort,

To be perfectly honest with you SPYDERGUY1, I guessed at it! I'm 6' 5" so I figured I might have to go kinda far forward and maybe a little farther down than some other guys. Doubt that I will need shorter ones, if anything probly longer or maybe even custom fab'd ones, but they should be real easy to get from the manufacturer.
No, I don't have them on yet but plan on doing that within the next couple days. S'posed to be back in the low 40's this weekend so maybe I'll have a 'guy on the street' kinda follow-up to this.:dontknow:

Thanks, Dannymax. Hope it works well for you. I have sent e-mail's to suppliers regarding this , but no reply as of yet. Will post results when finalized.. P.S. When you get them installed would love to see pics. Thanks again.

Installed the Street Magic mounting brackets....pretty straight forward, remove some plastic, one hole needed drilled in the lower sheet metal on the left side and some relief notches in the plastic for the new bolt heads, both side were all mounted and the pegs adjusted in a couple hours....without pushing. The lift made things a lot easier tho.

I didn't like the pegs coming out at 90° and angled them toward the rear 45° or so....seemed a lot more comfortable.
