• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Fog Lights

With Nancy's RS, they are on constantly. As was said, it differentiates it from a narrow motorcycle. The RT headlights are farther apart, and the reflectors make them more visible. I usually use the foglights in heavy, two lane traffic, but I don't generally use them on the highway, or in light traffic. I personally don't think they add as much visibility as they do on the RS. They do a dandy job up close in the dark, though.

9 out of 10 times I run with mine on. I also just installed the ESI Day Runners for even more brilliance. I will be upgrading my running tip lights to an LED Xenon White and when I can get my front wheels off, will be installing the ESI Mud Flap Running Lights replacing the reflectors.

I have had too many accidents in the past (both me and friends) that the driver of the other vehicle said "I never saw them" or heard the Stebel 139 DB Air Horn I am installing as well! :2thumbs:

Alaska requires headlights for main highways. I run the fog lights and day runners in addition. In my opinion, the more visable lighting the better.

Do you guys and gals use your fog lights during the day for safer riding?

In the very beginning when i got my
bike i use to run with the high-beams
on in the day light, i had/ have a fear
of someone not seeing me and cutting
in front of me.

Since i had my day runners installed I no
longer ride with high beams on but I do
include the fog lights to mix it up, there
ain't anything else out there that looks like
us in the opposite direction so hopefully
it makes the opposing driver more aware.

And I have my turn-signal tips also flashing
amber to alert on coming traffic when I am turnining.

The best additional lighting addition choosing between
the Front mud flaps

theThird brake light,

the Day runners and

the Front Fender tips with the hyper bright 194 bulbs.

Is hands down the front Mud Flaps. You wanna be seen from behind you, and they work
as turn signals too! I never can see on the dash the flash but glancing down i know if my
turn signal has turned off or not. and then next get day runners followed by all the other
lighting.

Although I fully agree that the fog lights create more visibility, care must be taken to adhere to local ordinances. Some states, specifically Wisconsin, do not allow the use of "fog lights" in clear or daytime conditions. I have a friend who forgot to turn his fog lights off on his pickup after the sun had gotten up and the fog burned off, he was pulled over and ticketed.

I run the Dayrunners, Hyper fender-tips and the HID headlights during the daytime. Before the HID's, I would run the foglights too. Not needed anymore. The dayrunners, fendertips and mudflap lights are also turn signals. Looks like an alien coming and going.
Sidelights coming soon to go with the Gloryders

Are these people nuts? Ticketed for having lights on during the day (whatever kind they may be). :wrong:
