• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Fog Light eplacemant

Curious..!!

the warning states the fog lights will not work like factory...as you may well know if you hit fog with brights you will refelect it back at you making your visibility worse. I would be leary of these for the fog lights...:lecturef_smilie:

naw

yeah I have bought some for my bike and my car , they suck!:p
:(waste of money, in my honest opinion. LEd's for road illuminations are just NOT bright enough - spend a few bucks more and get HID's. saying that because I have never known someone to use their
foglights for FOG only . everyone here in Texas has their fog lights permanently on, its legal in our state ...but ,our neighbor Oklahomans will get ticketed unless its foggy conditions.:banghead:

Stay away from these type of bulbs. Take it from someone who has been experimenting with and using LED bulbs for 7 years now. Yes, there are LED bulbs that are great to use. LED SMDs that are mounted close together (like these) and sealed up in a housing will suffer from two issues. For one, they will not put out much light. Good for daytime running lights, but very poor at producing usable light. The other issue is fatal. Due to the issues I described above, the lifespan of these bulbs is short. You most likely won't get more than 50 hours of total use.

ok. Thanks for the "heads up"

If you want to use LED bulbs, you can use spot lights like any of these, as they produce a significant amount of light and have built in heat-sinks to dissipate the heat:

....or those that are similar to any of these. They are water tight, and yes, I've been using them for over a year now without fail. They use very little wattage (usually around 10 watts per light) and they do a great job of lighting up in front, as well as the sides (great for spotting deer on the sides of the road). The only issue I've found with any of the LEDs that work are that they tend to produce a "photo like noise". Those of you that are photographers will know what I'm talking about. It isn't horrible, and the extra light combined with low watt usage, to me, is worth the trade off.
