How long does the battery in the sensors typically last before needing replacement or re-charging?
Thanks!
Varies with how much you use the app, whether it's in background, etc.
I only use app prior to a ride and get over a year.

That's probably how I'd use it too. Thanks!
Interesting. Are the batteries that easy to remove?I agree and I also pull the batteries if not being used for an extended time (like winter). I have had mine a year and still show plenty of battery life in the app.
Easy initial setup too?Pretty easy. Just remove the cap. The knurled edge and the rest of the cap are separate pieces. Might be hard the first time. Just don't use pliers directly on the plastic if you cannot loosen them by hand. Use a cloth or something to pad the cap.
Understood. Thanks for taking the time to reply. :thumbup:Initial setup is pretty easy once you download the app and readings are immediate. Many on this site will probably tell you that they are really accurate. I don't think they are when compared to a good tire gage, but I am only using them to detect a drastic drop in pressure in the case of a leak going down the road. If I had it to do over, I would think twice about spending the money.

What is "FOBO"?

Does it really keep an accurate reading on the tire pressures?
When setting up initially, does it immediately tell you the exact tire pressure in each tire?
That is not correct sorry. The sensors are always broadcasting so it has nothing to do with how often you use the APP.
A phone battery will drain faster with BT on if it is connected to nothing because it's "searching" for devices thus using chip processor time in doing so (thus using more power).

This may be where the ole' "Use it or lose it" could come into play. :clap:FOBO states you should expect to get up to two years of battery life depending on the usage, and ambient temperature. If that's the case, then not using the app very much and only getting one year of battery life means, not using the app isn't having any benefit, or a very little impact on the overall battery life.
Bob,
After 25 years working on Naval Weapons Systems and 30 years of working in the Aerospace Industry (radar, inertial guidance, etc.), I found out early on that REALITY and THEORY rarely go hand-in-hand.
