• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

FOBO 'disabled' question

This time every year I have to replace the batteries even though they look good. Usually not a problem.
This time, replaced the battery on the rear tire and all is good. However, both the Front Left & Front Right say they are disabled. I can't figure out how to enable via the FOBO User Guide.
Anyone have this issue or instructions on how to enable before I fix it with a hammer
:D

My first thought is to replace the batteries in them and that should enable them. Try removing them one at a time then wait 8 seconds then put back on and touch the phone to it. This is instruction when updating the firmware. Holding your finger on the sensor in the phone pulls up a menu and see what choices you have.

Yeah, I tried that but got something like 'operation unsuccessful.' Thanks though. Are you a member of SRASF?

No I never got into SRA although I'm a Life AMA, GWRRA member. I've done SRA runs. I'm closer to San Jose. Knew a few SJ Dons.

I just went thru this on mine. 2 of them just stopped working out of the blue. Replaced batteries etc. turns out, the firmware was far enough outdated it no longer worked with the Android version on my Note 8. AND, get this! You can ONLY update firmware if you have an Apple device!!!!!!!!!!!! The option for firmware only exists in that version of the app! SO STOOPID!

Luckily I had an iPod Touch w/ Wifi and got the firmware updated, then was able to enable the sensors. You have to choose the disable/enable option in the menu at the upper right when in the app. It'll tell you to press and hold on the sensor you want to enable for 5secs. It'll then walk you thru the process. Makes sure you have the sensor removed from the valve stem before starting the procedure.

Appreciate that.......might take you up on that. At this point, I contacted FOBO via email. I didn't want to call as it seems like they are in Malaysia? They surprisingly got right back to me. They asked a few questions and said they will get back to me soon. We'll see.......

I have the exact same problem. Please post the answer you get from FOBO so we can all fix our FOBO problems.

Solved...........

"Makes sure you have the sensor removed from the valve stem before starting the procedure." That was the trick to getting the FOBO's back functioning again.:clap:

Thanks hypurone!

Does anyone know if the Fobo 2 sensors are now working with BRP Connect? Thanks

I just asked the Fobo people this exact question and I got a reply that said they have released the updated app to BRP for them to do compatibility testing on. So, progress is being made. No ETA though...

Both FOBO and BRP Connect released app updates today.
FOBO:
What's fixed:
...Misc bugs
...Minor UI bugs
What's pending:
...BRP Connect integration

BRP Connect:
...Fixed issues
...iOS 13 support

At least FOBO thinks enuff about it to call it out in the release notes.

I never could keep the FOBO working for any length of time. I got tired of the aggravation and removed them. They're in a drawer in my garage. Maybe I'll check the firmware updates and try them again.
