Florida to Gatlinburg

If you're heading up I-85 out of Atlanta, you'll be within 10 miles of my home. I'll be heading out Wednesday morning, so might be wanting to join up as you pass by.

Well, fellow sypder people here is a flexable plan.

Meet, Tuesday Sept 21, at Wildwood at the Steak and Shake in Wildwood, 154 E State Road 44 At 9:00 AM. If 9 is too early then lets try 10 AM.. However, between gas and eat at steak and shake I would think we will be there 1 hr for our meet and greet..

My thoughts, it would be great if we can get through Atlanta before or after the rush hours. I do believe 4PM thru 6:30 is the afternoon rush.

I would like to get North of Atlanta prior to overnight stop but that is open and we can discuss that when we meet..

Robbie ( Teacher ) will be riding with me and I will be pulling my trailer and have our reservations at the Westgate Resort, 915 Garden Rd, Gatlinburg, TN..

My cell is 407-520-1061

Please post if you are riding or meeting on the way. If meeting on the way, please provide your contact number so that we can keep each posted as to time of meet.

OK people..
Time is getting shorter... so lets get our plans together so no one is left out on the FUN...

Wish we could commit, but we're still not sure of our route or timing. Guess we'll have to decide pretty soon. Wife just got out of the hospital, so we are going to take it pretty slow, may have to make a 3 day trip out of it just so she's ok. But we are looking forward to meeting everyone up there.

Hey Forest,
I got the surgery re-scheduled, so I am back on track to meet with you guys on Tuesday.
Damian however is not coming along, so just myself on this one.
See you there!

Took another short ryde yesterday. Only around 125 miles and I can now say that unless the healing process really speeds up, I am going to miss Lamonts BBQ. I guess I should have been listening to others and taking it easy from the start instead of working on the Spyder and stuff. 2 days left to see how it works out. If not, hope you all get some good pics and have a great time. Those of us not making it will keep Spyderlovers busy posting something...LOL

Doc and I have returned to Fl safe with no issues.

13.5 hrs for me.. Not sure what Doc finished up with.

Sis and I just got home (Monday, about noon), after riding to Cumming, Ga to see our daughter, then over to western Ga. Great trip, no problems, and the only rain we had was last night and this morning, which cleared as soon as we hit I-10 and headed east.

Glad we finally got to meet some of the Florida Express and we're looking forward to riding with y'all soon.

Cheers,

Mike
