• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Floorboards

Okay need a little help. I want to know what floorboards are the best. I know I will get several answers but I have seen some which were all chrome that I liked the look of also some black ones with the ends curved up that look like spider webs. They also come that you can push on the floorboards and it pushes the break pedal. It's kind of like buying wallpaper. My wife and I shopped until it all looked alike and I said "pick what you like and I'll like it too".:banghead::banghead::banghead:

I really like the looks of the Web Boards, but have heard great things about Seal boards.

Would be nice to hear from some that has those, or others to compare also.

I was at a spyder event in New Hampshire, Saturday, and saw the web boards up close and talked with the guy that makes them, very nice quality product, and he runs them on his spyder. http://web-boards.net/

Factory Boards

I have a 2011 RT Limited and just had the Can Am boards put on. I love them Identical the to the boards they are putting on the 2013's. Go the dealer and check them out. You will fall in love. Best addition I have put on my machine since I owned it.

Asking the question, "What's the best floorboards?" is a whole lot like asking, "What's the best potato?"

One person will prefer baked, another fried, and a third au gratin. They all have their pluses and minuses and you need to pick the board that's best for YOU.

:agree: I like all the mentioned but I went with Diamond R because I really liked the look and size.

Diamond R Floorboards

DSCN0853 (2).jpgThese are from one of our sponsors, Diamond R Accessories. I like them the best because you can purchase them to match your Spyder...they look like them come from the factory! I had them installed at Spyderfest this past April. The trip back to WV was a lot easier with these floorboards. Look at their website. You can purchase them in black or painted to match your Spyder, with foot pegs or without. Buy just driver or passenger, whatever you like. They make great products and Allen and Patti are great people!

Thanks John;

I'm going to order the Stainless closed and be done with it. I'm tired of cramping my legs back under me.

Good choice! That's actually the one I'm leaning towards as well. They just came out with a design for the SM5, which includes the heel/toe shifter.

Let us know how you like it, and post some pictures as well.

At a Spyder show today I heard about some laser cut ones in a spyder web, they sounded great but cant remember the website...

Your height & inseam are the real driving factors. I tried several types of road pegs, and none worked for me - but that foot angle was also critical for me. I found a RT with Vertica boards, and they were terrific in all regards. However, at $2,600 painted & installed, they were not in consideration.

The Seal floorboards, initially were lacking in the feel that I wanted for my RT, and John upgraded the design with rubber matting and chrome edging, and fixed my issues. I bought a set and have been delighted with them for a year now. They are long enough, that my SO can ride without using the passenger boards (she's 5'11").

I liked the ISCI boards, in that they lower your foot position, but don't offer the wide variety of positions that the Seals offer. Just my 2¢….

In my opinion ISCI makes the best quality boards and pegs on the market they are billet aluminum, powder coated and have the strongest mounting brackets on the market i have them on my RSS with the highway pegs they look and feel great they also have the hand brake for the RS and Rt check their webpage for picks on the bike.

I had the Web Boards installed at Spyderfest and love them. Just got backa couple weeks agon from a Colorado trip and the boards helped make the experience great!

I ended up with Seal Floorboards & have been very happy with them. I had tried ISCI's but didn't feel they gave me the variation of foot positions I needed with the leg issues I have. They are for sale if you are interested. In perfect shape......just didn't work for me.

Floorboards, many different styles out there, I've tried them all and finally I found ones I like the best. Rivco just came out with there version and bingo. What I like about Rivco boards they are classy looking, very well built and the angle of the board after it is installed is perfect.

Sure would be nice to see some pictures of all these different styles of floorboards.About the time I think I've found the ones for me this question comes up again and I get all confused again. Don't want to make a buying mistake or end up buying one then wish I had gotten something different.
