• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a Rivco flag mount for my Rt-S, someone decided to take one of my finials off my sypder at the Mountainfest Rally in Morgantown WV:(
Does anyone know if Rivco sells just the finials? They don't have parts on their web site. Unfortunately Rivco doesn't open till Monday to ask. If anyone knows of another company that would be fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Desert Spyder lost one of his at Spyderfest this year, and he was able to use a wing nut until he got a replacement. I will be seeing him later today, and will try to remember to ask him to reply to this for more info.

PS. Just sent him a PM, so if I forget he will see this.

Bummer..!!

I'm sure they will be happy to help you out with parts. If an emergency you could check home depot or lamp stores for lamp shade finials. Be safe..!!

Sorry Charlie (just had to say that, sorry). Bob told me today about your missing spike nut or finnial. I didn't lose it at SF but on a PGR mission recently when it vibrated off apparently. I also lost my flag. The plastic sleeves didn't keep the flag on.

i live in a small town so if you can't find it at Home Depot you're out of luck. I emailed Rivco and they were very quick to reply. They sent me two new spike nuts and 4 clips free. They also recommend to put a 1/4 in gasket, the same ones you see in faucets, above and below the flag. I took it a step further with a 1/4 in flat washer between the gasket and the flag. Those gaskets are very snug so a little lube will help.

Finally while waiting for the nut I used two 1/4 wing nuts locked against each other. Rivco recommends blue loctite. My left flag holder are for occasion flags so it will be changed as needed. I like the stop or jam nut idea and used it a lot in my railroad career.

Clip replacements

I went with 1/4 inch "O" rings with a Stainless steel washer sandwiched in between. After about 600 miles of assorted driving condition they have budge from their positions. Used blue lock-tite on the bottom nuts but use jamb nuts on the finials. If you use a nut with the built in nylon lock washer you almost need 2 wrenches to get the finial off to change flags.

Ride safe,
