• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

first weekend with the turbo

Someone wondered who the first SE5 turbo was and that was me. I went up to Kansas City and they installed it for me.

They had to modify a few things including the pipe mounting bracket and the oil catch can. Had to machine the can to be narrower and taller because they had never seen how much room the automatic transmission takes.

Except for the air filter recently falling off somewhere, it's been a great new addition.

I am wondering about mileage changes you have seen. The best I can seem to do is about 23 MPG which is a good 10 miles less than before.

My mileage is down too
The fuel mapping is not accurate enough to run lean enough for good mileage at cruise

There is a lean spot under light acceleration and moderate load but no boost. I'm adjusting the boost to come in earlier and that spot should go away. Then I should be able to back off on the fuel at cruise and get some mileage back
I'll let you know how it works out
But 10 mpg is a small price to pay for warp drive lol

10MPG is tough but its a price worth paying. I got 6 MPG out of my '69 Camaro, but I also had 625HP at my disposal with NO lean spots! I didn't mind much...

I'm going to call Andrew and do some tweaking with him on the phone. What I truly wish is the controller had a couple presets.

Then we could set one profile for daily use and one for those what the hell I don't see any cops days.

I think the 10mpg they're talking about is the difference between before and after and not the new total mpg.

Yeah I guess that would make sense! :opps: Either way, who cares! It's a turbo! That is just a sweet setup having a pretty much bolt-on solution spin up that fast and have no turbo lag. I bet it's fun! :2thumbs: I still think punching out the core would be fun also using the big-bore kit but would most certainly void the warranty! I'll just do what I can with what I have. For now! I'm not done playing yet! :ohyea:

:agree:

I am going to do what I can with what I have as well, until I get much closer to running out of warranty.

Yeah man, when warranty runs out all bets are off! But thre are still a few things I can do now to squeeze a bit more out of her. She's not too shabby now!

Ultimately what I would LOVE is having a sixth gear. I don't see that happening any time soon though...

Yes have fun but be careful. I know how your ride! Have fun.
