• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is this the right place for that ?;) ..... Hi All ..
Don't own a Spyder as of now but been thinking about it since a test ride. I'll be lurking for a while to see what's happenin' around here.
Thanks for allowing me in :-)

Hey, welcome.

What model did you test drive and how did you like it?

You have come to the one place where you can get answers and help on any imaginable question about Spyders. There are some amazingly knowledgable folks on here.

One note of caution: since folks ask questions about issues they are having, one might get the feeling that Spyders are troublesome. That's not the case. The majority don't have any issues with their Spyders.

To answer nonseven ...Back in 2008/09 ... whatever basic model that was then. (it was silver - that helps huh - lol) I liked it ! Lot different than 2 wheels but pretty easy to adapt I think.

Welcome..!!

Yes your in the right place for learning everything spyder..!! Lurk all you like but it's best after a great ryde..enjoy..!!:thumbup:

:welcome: You may want to schedule another test ryde as things have changed quite a bit since the initial release of the Spyder. BRP continues to learn from the modifications we have made to our machines in the past and has added some of those to the newer models.

Welcome riding a spyder is very addictive. Make the right choice of Dealer. Do some research. Service is important.
Good Luck:thumbup:

2008/2009 would have been an RS. You should stop at a dealer, sit on an RS, ST and RT. The riding position is different on each. RS is a bit of a lean forward. ST and RT more straight up. I've got a 2013 ST-S.

This is the place to learn about and enjoy Spyder info. If it has been that many years since you tested a Spyder, you should certainly beat feet to the nearest dealer that has units for test rides. Try them all and let us know what you think. Welcome to the site.

Hard Choices

I bought my Harley years ago when I first learned to ride a bike. Six months later was in Dayton and saw my first Spyder !!! Kicked my self all the way home. I had never heard of them before that. unfortunatly I was to far invested in it to give up so quickly so I stuck with the Harley. years later Hubby and I were out on a day ride and popped into a dealer and saw my first RT. Bought it Left on it never looked back .. Felt bad I didn't miss the Harley she was good to me. But still made the right choice !!!

Nice welcome :-)) Thanks all. I'll be lurking then, and asking questions as they arise. I already know I can go broke on the farkleing ;)

YEP lurking is where it begins! Then you become a member and become informed and buy your first spyder! Load it up with mods. YEP thats the cycle LOL

:welcome:
