• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

FIRST THE EARTHQUAKE & NOW IRENE!!!

By time it gets to NJ/NY it will nothing more that a bad rain/wind day, that's all like a nor'easter that we get all the time nothing more.

:agree: Were becoming a nation of Pansie's,
Every one it running around like Chicken Little.:( [Just go to a food store or a gas station today]

Praying:pray: we don't get the wind. Im prepared to have the driveway taken out and it will be gone if we get 6" of rain. We lose power all the time here as it comes from over the mountain. If we get sustained 50mph winds with higher gusts, it's gonna tear this place apart. My neighbor clocked winds of 98mph on his weather station mounted to the roof of his house during a nor'easter several years ago. Yes, we lost power but the damage wasn't too bad. Mostly because it was winter time and there were no leaves on the trees. Our spyders are in the garage and i'm very nervous about a huge ash tree on the other side of the driveway. If it falls with the wind direction forecast-ed it will flatten the garage and everything in it.:(UGH!!!!

From what I've been hearing this whole storm has been downgraded to "only" a one for now... storm surge and the rain will be what makes things interesting up and down the coast now. Hunker down and ride it out... we've all seen worse!

it might be downgraded, but its not even "here" yet and it is :cus: pouring and a few tornado's have been spawned from it on the shore. Ocean city where my daughter lives is under water already as is AC. I hope everyone is safe.

Well, it's been a tough week! First the earthquake which shook my house and scared us half to death, and now Hurricane Irene! :yikes: I live at the Jersey Shore and the news certainly isn't good for us right now. :( I am on the water and

at even the slightest storm my street is terribly flooded as well as my garage. Moved the :spyder2: to a storage unit but it's only 5 minutes from my house so I am not exactly sure how safe it will be. At least at this point it is about a

mile from the water instead of 50 feet from it! :gaah:

I was in VA Beach when the earthquake hit...we were pretty close to it! I also left thursday night to avoid Irene...in MD, the storm wasn't a big deal...

The hurricane is a natural event, the earthquake was probably man made (or man caused, not sure which one is politically correct these days)! :yikes:
The earthquake was caused by our founding fathers rolling over in their graves because of the present:D politicians action in D.C.

:roflblack: It's funny that you bring that up right now. This morrning, a Buddy of mine out in Utah sent me a notice that KFC was expanding their menu: An "***** Cabinet Bucket" is now available... Nothing but left wings and chicken sh...
Honest! I didn't make this up!
