• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

first ride of the season

so at the last minute i decided to put some miles on the bike today. git it started and warmed up, rode it up to the parkway, and jumped on it. at 70 mph the front end started to shake like crazy and i slowed down to 50 to make it stop. i still felt a little shake but had to drive a mile or two so i could get off the parkway. when i got off i found a gas station and put air in the front tires, i figured i would see if that would help. i don't remember the last time i checked them. both tires took some air to reach 18 psi, and after that, all seemed fine.

so the first ride went well after that, and it was fun.

Went for a 500 mile ride Friday and yesterday. Went down to Cuba, MO on Friday and stayed the night at the Wagon Wheel. Yesterday morning I rode Route 66 down to Lebanon, MO before peeling off and heading home. The old Mother Road is getting pretty tired and beat. Not quite as smooth as I remember in years past. Many of the old landmarks are showing their age also. Anyway, I am now up over 1300 miles for the season and looking forward to many more.
