The wife and I did our first real road trip on the :spyder:this weekend. We rode form grand junction co to moab utah. About 235 miles round trip. The :spyder:handeled great with a good mix of highway and rural roads. when we got back we made a few decisions. The seat was at the top of list and she told me that the passenger pegs need to down and forward and I think that I might want to try the highway pegs. but other than that the ride was great. :spyder:goes in for oil change this week and if the weather holds we are doing a poker run to Aspen this saturday.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hey gjco, glad you are having fun on the Spyder. I would recommend the highway pegs. I put mine on a week ago and made a run from St. George to Las Vegas and back on Saturday. It was real nice to be able to change leg positions. Lets me know if you find a good way to move the passenger pegs down and forward,my wife says the same thing. By the way, the highway peg brackets from billet bike parts are easy to install too!
thanks for the info. we should get togeather and meet inthe middle for a ride in utah. I have a welding back ground and i will be talking to some of my friends to see if I can come with some thing for the passenger pegs. I have looked at all the ones posted on here and still thing some changes can be made in looks and function.

230 miles without a backrest for your spouse, after the original demo ride my other half said she would only ride on :spyder
nce the backrest was fitted, lucky for me it came in just after it was delivered.
The rear pegs are a must as well to make your passenger comfortable, good luck with your choice, I stuck with the original BRP backrest parts for the time being but for a little extra I know there are great seat options including backrests for both rider and passenger. Plus I agree the highway pegs are a real easy fit as well. Good luck, ride safe (maybe fast, but safe).
