• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

First 'long' trip

Drove 700 miles round trip this past weekend. West Georgia to Charleston, SC Finally got out of break in period. :) Spyder performed pretty well. Going to look in to getting an Air Hawk seat. After a few hours, it got a little painful. Phone(android), music, headset worked flawlessly as far as music played, GPS Directions played, could answer phone calls by just saying "Hello". Every time I got back on the Spyder, headset and phone connected via bluetooth to Spyder with no problem.

Only issue I had was one time, it refused to go into reverse until I powered off and back on.

Put on the Ultra Guard full cover when I got to my destination. May be the easiest 'motorcycle' cover I have ever used. No rain expected I just don't like the sun beating down on it for days either.

I like the full cover too. Nothing worse than coming out in the morning to find a blob of bird poo has been etching your paint all night. :gaah:

The Air Hawk or Wilda$$ cruiser pad made it possible for me to ride 10+ hours/day on my last 6000+ mile loop to Yellowstone in '21. I'm a 77 y/o couch potato but had no back pain.

I think it's a brake pressure thing if you're not pushing on the brake hard enough.

I plan on getting the Air Hawk. Price is better than the wilda$$ for basically the same thing. WildA$$ may be thicker bladder from what I can tell. No cats riding with me so, should be fine. :)

These things do like to eat up the miles. Glad you had an enjoyable trip.
We use a Butt Buffer pad, and a no-name seat pad on our longinterstate days (think 500+ miles). I change out between the cushions and no cushion every fuel stop. Keeps the behind confused, and not sore.

If nothing else, it's a good idea to cover the gauge cluster. Glad you're out enjoying your Spyder!

I too have been thinking about the air hawk or wild ass, let us know how it works out for you. Although, the OEM is not bad, so it sort of breaks down of how much better the air hawk is for the $. I got the butt buffer, but found not any better than OEM.

I cut a 29 dollar Ikea sheep skin in half sewed on and plastic buckles, and it works well.
