• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

First experience with a semi-new dealership

I bought my first Spyder (RS) at Pro Calibre in Bend, OR - about 190 miles from home, after canvasing the more local dealers. While Pro Calabre had a sister dealership in Vancouver, they didn't sell or service Can-am. Unfortunately, traveling 360 miles to service my Spyder never seemed to work, so I was at the mercy of a dealer with whom I was never satisfied (cutting corners, storing customer's bikes outside (in the rain), and more).

Recently, Pro Calibre opened a new dealership in Longview, WA (about 65 miles away), and offered annual servicing for $109 - about $200 under Brand X. I made my appointment, and they offered to service my RT WHILE I WAiTED!!!! The were glad to see me, introduced me to the techs, showed me to a large, bright, and comfortable waiting room, complete with, WIFI, coffee & water (what else would one need in the morning??), and got right to work on my bike - completing the "pin recall" first.

Unfortunately, I had two other issues - a "rocked" belt, which needed to be replaced, and a wobbly left hand switch unit, that Brand X never fixed. Pro Calibre included my opinion in the proposed "fixes, and recommended replacing the switch housing under warrantee (yes, it was that sloppy), while I had them replace the belt, at my expense (the rock wasn't CanAm's fault after all). The latter had to be ordered, and I left my RT in a WARM & DRY parking area, designed for customer's rides.

After changing the oil, my RT started throwing codes, and the shop foreman quickly found and fixed the problem (seems that some of the 2010 oil pressure sensors have died after an oil change, but that wasn't the problem with mine)

This is a new busy shop, that cares about its customers, and was worth the extra 100 miles to get there. If you're in the area, give them a try.

My experience with the Spyder is nil! I have, however, bought a 2011 RT-S Ltd. with 250 miles from an individual in California. I had arranged of the shipper to deliver it to my home on or before the 9th of April before I leave for Washington DC for two weeks. Due to mechanical breakdowns, the delivery was delayed until after I left. I contacted Ben at Pro Caliber Longview and they were more than happy to take delivery while I was on Vacation and store the bike until I could get there to pick it up. I stopped by before I left and left the shippers check with them and they did the rest! Delivery at Pro Caliber went without a hitch and I decided to have the them go over the bike, do the $109 special and they agreed to do a "new vehicle" into/delivery at no cost to me. I am looking forward to going up for the pickup this week when rain doesn't look too prevalent! I am truly looking forward to doing business with them. There is a dealership near my home but after talking to many local riders, I have decided to take my service business to longview!
