There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. First Annual

So are we doing this?
Based on my schedule late August or September would be the best times for me.
After that it would have to be late October.

Whatever time works best for you guys.

Instead of an Ironbutt ride, it can be a Firebutt ride.

Steve, if you and BlueStar say yes.......we would have our 5 and can start working on a date.

What a crew.........

Let's do it:cheers: Whatever is the hottest day of course :banghead:

Firebutt ride has a nice ring to it :roflblack:

Sounds good!!

Worked summers in Baker as a youngster. That was enough for me. Highest it got was 136 at 2 pm and 117 at 1am. I'M OUT!

I asked a buddy if he wanted to ride with you guys. He asked if he could bring his ex-wife. Ha!

Darn! We'll miss ya! nojoke

Spread the word if ya would. Would like to have at least 5 Spyder riders.

Know what you mean about Baker('BIG THERMOMETER HOT'!). Spent a year at Eddies Air Patch, China Lake, and time on various other dry lake beds in the area.

Call me crazy (or plain stupid), but I will go with you. Late August or early September sounds good, as it will be after SITR for me.

Wonder if I can rig this to work for the Spyder

Great!! :doorag: 'Welcome aboard'. That's 4 of us. Would be nice to get at least one more.

We'll plan well and look out for each other. All should go well.

The air conditioner. Long ago knew someone that tried something similar on his "Bass Boat". Back when we would fish Lake Mead in the summer. Plenty of battery power, but still didn't flow enough air to make it worth while. :dontknow:

Asked Katie if she wanted to go. She said NO!!

Ah! We'll miss ya Katie. nojoke

Hey, may be another way if she wants to go. A gal friend of mine has offered to drive sag wagon. She's concerned because there's no cell service out there. That, and other reasons are why I'm hoping we have at least 5 spyder's.

Looking forward to doing and sharing in this new adventure :doorag: Should be memorable

What is "sag wagon"?

What is "sag wagon"?

A cager that keeps everyone in sight and can offer assistance on an as needed basis. Might call it a big tool box and first aid station all rolled into one. Something we used a lot on challenging high heat rides back in my bicycling days.

Death Valley - 120
La Quinta - 119
Phoenix Az. -117
Las Vegas - 111

thank goodness it's dry heat :roflblack:

Something happened this weekend.

http://www.mydesert.com/article/201...found-dead-after-hike-during-record-heat-wave

In light of this, and thinking of what could....... The group ride, as far as I'm concerned, is off.

That doesn't mean I will not be doing it. It just means I am willing to accept any risk on a personal level, but that's all.

Planned route:

La Quinta, Ca.
Ridgecrest, Ca.
South Trona, Ca.
Stovepipe Wells, Ca.
Beatty, Nv.
Indian Springs, Nv.
Las Vegas, Nv.
La Quinta, Ca.

So not that it is a official ride then. I can understand the concern.

Route is:
15, 395, 190, 374, 95, 15 home.

I have taken the 190 in a car and that could be fun on a spyder.... real curvy!

When is your plan to go? I may want to still hook up.

Bob
