• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Dates are flexible......we have all summer.

Don't miss your chance to win a FREE water bottle.

That is one hot ride! Down here in the Deep South we have nothing that hot but add 100% humidity to 110 degrees and you have a whole new meaning to the phrase it's not the temperature but the humidity.

Heat.

UFF DA!!!!!!!!!!

And I thought it was getting hot by reaching the 90's here in the mountains for the next few days. <M>

120 miles west of Jerbear my Spyder is reading 94 ambient.
The Socal July heat wave is here but we rarely get above 100F.

I for sure do not envy Jerbear!

Bob

Some of us are fortunate enough to be able to escape home before it gets hot. Others, like those in and around Phoenix, or those in Lost Wages are hard pressed. Unless they want to run at night to seek cooler temps. We do that too, but only when heading East.

Now, are ya ready to win that FREE water bottle?

Wow..!!

Was 102 here but with the heat your showing I would be hard pressed to tell where the heat was coming from on the roadster...you probably sweat in the pool...!! Keep cool...

Meet here at 'High Noon'

Oh too, there's no charge for entry.

All ya gotta do is show up!! :roflblack:

You are joking I hope?
But if you make this real, I am willing to go for that ride!
Miles are experience which is something I as a new owner want to do :ohyea:

I plan to go for Ortega Highway the weekend after my 600 mile service... As you know that road makes the Dragon look like a garden snake ;)
After that Highway 1 out of Pismo....
My riding bucket list is building ;)

Bob

Ortega highway?? Take lots of pictures for the rest of us! :2thumbs:

See here:

Yes I will take pics and maybe some video.

California has some really windy roads. The rugged coastline and Highway 1 is one of them. There are tons of extremely winding roads with full on switch backs through our many mountain ranges. Not to discredit the Dragon or the Rattler but after watching the videos of them, for sure we have more challenging roads here than that. I know some people that will not even drive a car on some of them.

Jerbear has a road called 74 out of La Quinta into Idlewild that is quite challenging!

Back in the 70's we used to do the Ortega from Riverside up and out of Lake Elsinore to Capistrano and back in a day...............On bicycles. Those were the days.......nojoke

It's a fun road when ya have a motor too.

HOLY COW! I could not even image coming up the Ortega Highway from Elsinore on a peddle bike! That is a MONSTER CLIMB! I am impressed. I have always been somewhat active (Snow Skiing, biking, climbing, swimming, water skiing, etc) but that peddle ride must have been super challenging! I would never have considered it even doable by me.:bowdown::bowdown:
