• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

first 114 mile ride

The linkage may not be an item that the dealer is responsible for checking, but the dealer is supposed to check that every function of the RT is operating properly before delivery to the customer; so this is something that the dealer missed. I would bring it up to them. Not cool.

we've covered about 150 miles on ours, our engines and trannies feel really tight. The first bit of our break in was on motorways which isn't the best start (yes we did vary the revs/speed etc) but they don't feel anywhere near as good as the demo, with a horrible drive through vibration between about 3750-3950 in 5th or 6th. My wife's is exactly the same. Hopefully they'll get better with miles, we're sticking to the lanes for now with lots of varied revs and engine braking.

Mine had about 30psi in the rear shock (base RT), it's now set to 60psi, front tyres had 16psi, now set to 18, haven't checked the rear yet, must keep an eye out for that link. Mine too feels squirrelly, but think its just me adjusting from two wheels. It is very sensitive to inputs, I find putting my weight on the pegs helps.

cheers
Nito

The link is on the left side of the bike just above the drive belt and just back of the left passenger floorboard

Going to try another ride today and I hope I find that the link was the problem, I also put my sheepskin gel seat on the bike, it raises my body just enought so that I can use the foot brake a lil easier,

John, I'm going to think positive and say that was the whole problem. I've ridden with a bad rear shock on my RT and and unless your going fairly slow, the back end bounces all over, every time you hit a bump. With the temperatures your going to have today it will be a true test weather your new ride doesn't have any heat issues. I can't wait for a happy Spyder rider report later !! I hope you have a great day riding...
