First 1000 mile trip -- 8 days

Hello all
I'm taking my F3S on a nice ride from Temecula, Ca. To Reno, Nv. For the Blue Knights international convention.
Take some time to ride around the area and then head back home. Should be an 8 or 9 day trip.
Now, to pack everything as small as possible.
Looking forward to seeing some excellent sites along the way.
Make some new friends at the conference.

Lucky you, it sounds like an awesome trip! Why not send some things via UPS to the hotel so you don't have to carry them on the bike? I have done this and it works well.:doorag:

Another option...
Pack old clothes, and pitch them out as you go! Buy replacements as you need them.
Alternately; ship the dirty stuff home via the USPS... :thumbup:

Or do laundry. No need to pack clean clothes for every day. The detergent pods work well and take very little space.

Great idea for some people, but in my case, new t shirt+ sweat = itching.:yikes: Something about the sizing used.

2 great rides while there. Go up mount rose to Tahoe if you have never seen lake Tahoe. A must see plus a cool ride. 2nd Virginia City is a nice ride.

I packed very light for my trip and it is working well. Roll everything and use some compression sacks to keep everything nice and compact. I do laundry every 5 days. Now if we could only pack our tools ad compactly I might actually be able to buy a souvenir.

Have fun and if you forget something there is a store that will have what you need.

However just in case you have to stop in a location with no other attractions, a Walmart can be quite entertaining. :yikes:
