I finally received my 2020 trailer hitch kit and saddlebag retrofit kit. The wiring harness was a pain to install. You have to take half of the Spyder apart to remove the rear panel where the wiring harness and lighting module are mounted. The wiring harness connectors were not marked, so I had to create a wiring diagram and ohm out the pins in the harness. The power wire (on the Spyder) for the lighting module was hidden under tape. I had to use the wiring diagram in the shop manual to figure that out. The BRP directions are incomplete/incorrect.
I also installed a belt tensioner and adjusted the saddlebag latches so they opened properly. Almost 10 hours of wrench time in the garage yesterday.
The BRP shop manual and owners manuals are pretty much worthless. Neither the panel removal or the saddlebag latch adjustment are listed in the manuals.
Well I am glad to have received the parts after waiting 4 months. Overall the install went well and I had a good time in the garage on a rainy day.
