This has most likely be covered a few times. Today I got around to setting up a backup way to open the frunk on second 2018 AKA Hookie! I had the stuff laying on the work bench for a while.
I remove the two access panels (left and right) under the rear corners on the lid and then removed the latch assembly to attach the cable. The hole was already in the arm (picture 2). Then reinstalled the latch assembly and in the end had to stick a screwdriver under the front part when tightening the two ten mm nuts. Quarter inch ratchet works well in the tight space. Pictures show the cable and outer sleeve from bike cable. There is a loop to pull up under the body panels behind the driver's side front wheel. Next will be the secondary release for the seat.
