• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Finally an RXX Spyder snowmobile

Very nice pictures. Looks like a great time.

Thanks for the compliment. I have gone to Valcourt Grand Prix about 8 yrs and enjoy their hospitality even though most of them speak the french language. I am an avid snowmobiler and have had skidoos since 1966 . I would never ride another brand or even set on one lol.

out of the box thinking

Why would any one want to trash someones innovative idea. Nowhere did it proclame to be a finished product or even available on the market, nor did it clame to even compete with a production snow machine. This person or group of people spent there hard earned cash, time and skills to see what they could come up with. It may not fly but at least they tried. Thats more than most of us can say. Is this why there is so little creativity... afraid of the backlash from those who won't.:gaah:

We're gonna have to meet and talk sleds!

I started in '67 with an Olympique; although it was only a 250cc (rated at either 10.5 or 12hp; I forget), it lit a passion
in '68 I got a Super Olympique; the 300 with 16 mighty horses pulling... I felt like a KING!
Then my Dang Brother got a Boa Ski with 292 Hirth and 19hp... He was quicker, but I was faster and could break trail way better!

I started out with a 66 olympique 10.5 hsp bought it used and the first winter me and my dad put over 250 gallons of gas thru it, then i bought a new 68 super olympique 16hsp with a new shipmate double trailer for 950 bucks then new 1974 elan electric start new for 450 bucks, then a new 96 formula z583, then a new 98 mxz583, then a new 2000 mxz700se, then a new 2003 rev 600ho, and finally a new 2005 rev600sdi. Here is a link to my toy pics: http://revman600ho.tripod.com/ I have several albums on photobucket of snowmobile races I have attended both snowcross and ice oval. The 66 olmypique only weigh 250# and if you got it suck you could get it out of the deep snow then the 68 gained 30# weighin in at 280# I wish i had them both back to run around the fields and trails with .

So we both had the Supers! :2thumbs:
They might not have been the most reliable or the fastest; but they sure were more fun thatn a roomful of monkeys on roller skates!
(Next machine was a '71 Oly 300 with the new track design... it DID pull better in deep snow...)

I started out on a 1985 Formula MX, went to 1988 formula plus, then to an 1990 Mach One, then a 1993 MachZ to the 1999 MX-Z with the 670HO, then to a 2001 MXZ 800, to a 2003 MXZ Rev800, to a 2005 MACHZ 1000SDI (of course, best engine ski-doo ever made in my opinion), to a 2007 MXZ X-RS 800. That was the last new sled I ever bought. Now I have a 2001 MXZ 500 liquid, and a 2002 380 Fan. The spyder has ruined me (along with the mild winters), and I will never again make payments on a new sled. But I am looking into getting a 2004 MXZ with a 550 fan and a nice two sled trailer for 2500 from a friend.

The speed sensors are easy to trick...
Just mount both of the front wheel sensors on rhe rear wheel. they'll all agree perfectly!

That's an outfit up in New England somewhere that does that...
