• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Final word on larger rear tire?

I'm just repeating what I remember reading. I believe Magic Man did it and said it's not good. Of course, you could always disable the DPS and take it out of the picture. I rode for a week without a functioning DPS (others like BajaRon and Magic Man rode without a working DPS for a lot longer) and it wasn't that bad.

Thank you for the info. Will check into it :shemademe_smilie:

How bad?? Have you tried it or know someone who has?? Just curious I'm seriously considering it. Just be better to know some other fool done did. I always feel a Lil better when I know I'm not the first Ginny pig :D

You can't just unplug them. You have to put the sensors on the front so you get no codes. It's a completely different machine with the VSS off and the TCS and ABS still works. IMO all that crap is there for the newbs.

Good luck with the rear tire. I am curious to see pictures of what you have decided on. Pictures of the Supra would be greatly appreciated as well!!!!!

Car guy here as well

As for the spyder tire, I ended up going with the mickey thompson drag radial tire, 500miles on it and I love it so far! I just stuck with the stock size but the new tire looks to be much wider, the handling seems much improved as well as traction in pretty much every situation.

I met with the aerocharger guys a little over a week ago and plan on have the aerocharger kit on my bike in the next 30days. I will keep you guys posted!

Now I need to figure out a way to put a radio on it?? any help there?

One of the big factors of the vss triggering is the yaw rate sensors. Go Out on a parking lot in the pouring rain or a skid pad. Yank the bars and straighten them back up. This will break all three wheels loose spining at about the same rate. Come completely off the throttle and take a ride courtesy of the nanny. I did this with a canbus protocol analyzer connected to the diagnostic port logging to a pc and dash commander collecting heading acceleration data and gps coords. Hey it was pouring rain one Sunday and I was bored. I have reverse engineered a few of the protocol messages. So when I plotted data this is what I saw. In low traction conditions the vss model reacts primarily to yaw rate and and steering position. Wheel speed differences are pretty sporadic and nonlinear. Terminal position is a near full lock counter steered slide. It makes sense as the is the most stable position in yaw while in motion.
Back to the point I believe wheel speed difference is largely used to detect wheel lift. Steering position seems much more important. The primary goal of the nanny is to keep the front wheels pointed parallel to the computed motion of the center of gravity of the trike
