I hot roll my hair first using just four rollers, then put it in a twist on the back of my head. Curling it in advance (I have straight thin hair) of placing the helmet works great. When I take off my helmet....wala....Fara Fawcett hair! Of course this does not work if it's raining or your head is sweating. :doorag:

Do-Rag.............Wal*Mart has bunches of them -- $1.50 - $3.00. Keeps helmet cleaner -- toss the rags in the washer -- have some spares in the bike's trunk.

Make sure the knot at the back is OUTSIDE the helmet..

I have layered hair that I really cannot pull back and bangs. I started out by using a hat after riding but the bangs beat the crap out of my fore head while on the road. Now I tie a bandanna on my head under the helmet to hold the hair back and it helps with the helmet itch too. No silk lining or cover for this chick, just a plain biker bandanna. :doorag:

I wear a sweat band under my helmet which helps with keeping my bangs from getting so flat and it also absorbs any sweat when riding in hot weather. Even a bandana folded like a headband works for me. I have short hair versus your long, so as far as the rest of my hair my idea wouldn't work, but for the short hair gals, putting some "wax" in my hair (no hairspray) helps me with fluffing my hair when I take my helmet off.

Other than that, I really don't care. I'm riding a motorcycle safely with a helmet (and loving it), my husband loves me, and I'm not out to impress anyone else.
