Fashion advice needed...Mixing fabric type of riding clothing (leather & non-leather)
Hey ya'll. I just ordered my first pair of good quality brown-ish & black-ish distressed leather chaps and vest. I have a black leather jacket and a gray mesh Joe Rocket jacket, but neither will match the chaps color-wise (or fabric wise if mesh jacket) exactly. I thought of ordering a leather jacket which matches the chaps pretty much to a "T", but being a single father of two kids for the past 12 years kinda takes a toll on the whole free spending. And I thought of waiting and ordering closer to next Fall, but being in the mid west, you never know when a cool front may hit. Now, if I have to, I'll wear either jacket just to be warm and safe...I don't care what others think in those cases.
So, anyone want to chime in and say how it "is" or "is not" a cool fashion statement to wear a non-leather jacket with leather chaps and/or different color leathers together? :helpsmilie:
I do care how I look, but not so much I'm a vain person. :doorag: My daughter helps me with things like this, but she's not riding yet and this is one of the nice points of having a good wife...help you get dressed regardless of what a man does...LOL!!! :roflblack: I've attached the chaps and mesh jacket. You already know what a basic black riding jacket looks like.
