• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Farkle #2 - RT Trunk Break light - DIY full video how to

OK, So I said I was going to do a full how to video on my next mod.

Well here you go. $25 trunk break light with how to do it yourself.

Enjoy,
Bob

Great idea and great video. I just bought the light strips and gonna do mine next rain day. Just a thought, any reason I can't use one strip for running lights and the other for the brakes ? And thanks again fantastic idea:bowdown:

No reason at all! Just tap one strip into the break lights and another into the running lights.

Let me just say though. I want the break lights noticed! That was the entire idea behind this. Some state may have laws about how high a running light can be. So be aware of that.

If it were me, I would buy 3 strips. 2 for break and another for riding and put that just below the rear trunk latch handle. That's just my opinion.

run/brake hi-mount led circuit

Kewlmetal sells a dual element circuit that allows you to hook up to the run and brake circuit -- I installed the LED's from Autozone on my RT trunk and have running lights and brake lights -- $4.99 for the element circuit!!

Would i need two sets to run the two strips or just one?

God job! If you add a converter you can also get running and brake, which is also nice with constant visibility! I got 16 feet of lights for $11 on amazon. Comes with wires on both ends!

You can get to/take off the tail lights without taking the large black tupperware totally off, just let it hang down enough to get to the light screws.
