• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Far less limp mode posts, do you think they got it with the last software update?

It may just be me but I think the number of limp mode posts have dropped significantly since the last software update. I know I was plagued with them until last July but since the update not a one. Do I have to knock on wood or what are you thoughts?

Regards,

I was thinking the same thing a couple days ago. In addition to fewer limp mode posts, there have also been fewer rants about other :spyder2: problems.

I am thinking its because they are getting the problems solved. Let,s hope the pattern continues now that the 2013's are beginning to hit the road.

Your a brave man for bringing that up!:roflblack:

It's winter, they aren't riding as much. ;)

Truthfully, these things seem to run in bunches and feed off each other. No telling if things are actually better....but I hope so.

I've noticed the same. I hope we don't get jinxed. Like anything though that is either mechanical or electrical or both, there are gonna be problems. The secret is to hopefully minimize those problems over times. It appears that this is happening.

I know when i was buying dead or uncharged batteries was the flavor of the day. That has def. subsided for the most part. It's only an improvement if you don't have any issues. ;)

I Agree

I also think that because we are out of the "riding season" in the northern tiers of the country, no long distance or vacation biking trips going on right now. But truly hope all our upcoming ryding adventures this coming year are painless and trouble free:pray:

Now that you mention it..

I too was plagued by limp mode last summer, but haven't had one since the update. Just returned from 1572 mile rt Key West and back with no problems to report. First ride of this duration since the update.
