My 2014 front tires were laser aligned on day one and still failed at 8000 miles.( the front tires also failed on the test bike I rode) My dealer replaced mine with Federal Evo s and I have 15000 on the Federal Evo and Kumho combination without any problems or noticeable wear. I hear about hydroplaning but I ride in deluges all the time and never seem to have this problem.. Maybe it is because I spend so much time ryding in the rain that I have developed a different touch.... I also love the improved cornering with the federals and no adjustments were necessary for them to be compatible with bike

Looking for front tires

Thanks for the info guys. I am looking for front tires for my '12 RT Ltd. before going to Spyder Fest this year. My right front is bald on the inside for about an inch. I know another owner with the same problem, but different year bike. The dealer says he has seen several with the same problem. I want to get a laser alignment but so far haven't found one in Michigan. The one possible had so many negative reviews I won't go there!!!!

Cupped tires usually indicate an out of balance condition. Could be defective tires that were out of round. Or can even be defective wheels. But usually it's just a bad balance and not a defect issue.

On my 2014 RTL the front tires were perfectly balanced and aligned on day one.. They still cupped badly at 8000 miles. BRP acknowledged they were out of round and defective. The Federals used to replace them now have almost 19000 miles with no visible signs of wear.. They also handle better on corners and ride smoother generally

You will be able to get your Spyder aligned while you are at Spyderfest. Squared Away will be there along with others doing alignments.
