• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Factory trailer hitch?

Thank you very much need to know that to figure what if anything to do besides rewire my trusty Harbor freight traler to be usable with Spyder.

The wiring issue is significant. However I did notice a new BRP 4 into BRP connector in the latest catalog - so perhaps the reverse isn't as intimidating as my mind is making it……. let me know how you make out.

There are a number of perfectly adequate trailers at or below $1500 out there, which equates to at least four nice trips with the savings over the BRP unit.

From what I can see, the new adapter lets the RT-622 trailer be hooked to a car with a 4-pole connector...not the other way around.

Just a note on trailers.Yes the Spyder factory trailer looks great behind the Spyder. BUT for the $$ those small Harbor trailers work great and rather build one your self they now have a complete unit with a cartop carrier already mounted on it.I got one with 8 inch wheels and removed 1 leave of the two leave springs use 18lbs of air in the tires have made 2000 mile trip with it and never knew it was there. I pulled it at that time with a Voyager 1200cc bike. Also reccomend you should repack wheel bearings with a high temp grease. Cost is around 350 to 395. JW Miller
