Factory CB Radio sucks

The one thing that I am really disappointed with my RLT is the CB radio. I am looking for anyone that try to following antenna upgrade kit from J & M.

I had the J&M upgraded antenna installed with CB so I can't tell you if it is better with it or without. I can only tell you that the CB sucks compared to my Goldwing CB. The max range is only about 1 mile.

Your right, it does suck. I did install the J&M antenna upgrade and yes, it helped it out a ton. Make sure you have a good ground when you install the J&M and everything will work much better.

You can add some additional grounding for the CB radio and antenna that may help its performance ....

Where did you get the rubber boot for the J&M antenna and what cable/adapters did you need to connect this antenna to the midland CB?
