F3t glovebox usb has no power

I do have power to my iPhone on my 2016, but it will not power the garmin gsp

It will depend on the Garmin model. Some will not work on a usb plug at all. Except in data mode, like when connected to a computer. May go into data mode on the Spyder since it is a data port. Only really works on the power adapters that come with it. Others will work with a usb power plug but only high power ones. Some motorcycle models need a 12V power source.

I have not looked up the specs for a 2016. But the usb plug in your F3T is likely a usb 2 spec port. So only 500 ma of power and that may not be enough. Also it is a data port and the gps may get confused and go into data mode.

You may need to install a power plug that will work with your Garmin.

Will it recharge a cell phone or Sena radio? Have not yet tried to use mine but if I ever get to go on a trip, that's what I'd want it to do.

I installed a garmin hard wired line from the accessory power supply under the left panel and it works only when engine running. Thanks
