F3T Gearing

Somewhere, in another post, it was mentioned that the Spyder F3ts shipped to Germany were geared higher, much like the RTs, because of the higher Autobahn cruising speeds. Anyone know if this is true?
I am loving my F3T, and bought it strictly for the ride, and with intentions to tour, not drag race around town. Having the higher gearing on the F3 Touring model sure makes sense to me, considering the RT models run about 300rpm lower at 70mph.
Would it be feasible to switch drive sprockets to accommodate?

Been asked before..........Crickets.

Perhaps Lamont is the only one that can give an intelligent answer. Waiting to purchase a F3T for my wife and would like to have the taller gearing also.

Physically: the RT parts will bolt up perfectly.
The question comes down to electronics: Will the F3's Nanny notice the difference? :dontknow:
I recall a thread mentioning that it DID upset her, but I'm not 100% sure about it...:opps:

Am interested in prior threads on this - can anyone reference these?

The F3 came out in 2015 as the great hotrod Spyder and filled a great niche for many riders. However, many folks pushed for a Touring version and BRP essentially came up with the beautiful model which I so much enjoy - incorporated saddlebags, cockpit design with audio and fairing. If BRP saw fit to provide the European models with higher gearing, could that not have been at least an option for the U.S.?

No, I did not screw up in buying the F3T instead of the genuine road-touring RT. I love the one I purchased, and there are reasons why touring models are generally geared higher - mainly, that sustained long distance rides at 70-80mph, at 3-400rpm less, is easier on the life of the engine.

I will continue to pursue this and ultimately have the touring version that suits me. Likewise, there have been threads concerning luggage racks, and supposedly, BRP is developing that. I have also been researching after-market rear TourPaks.

To each his own - that is my quest and I appreciate all the assistance offered from this forum.

Yep! The F3s imported into Europe have the same rear sprocket as the RT. They also have a different belt.
Personally not being 'into' drag racing (been there done that!) I like the ratio provided in our country.
It still gives more than adequate acceleration for my tastes!

An ECM change would be required to just swap pulleys and belt. Not cost effective and I'm not sure if there would be other issues or not. I would like to see lower rpm's at cruising speed too but I don't see that happening anytime soon. I'm not concerned about the added rpm being a downside to the life of the motor. I think this motor will par with the Wings and BMW's. Time will tell.

Which makes me wonder if it would have been possible to have BRP ship a European-spec'd F3T to Pitbull in Springfield, Mo. Can anyone out there answer that?

I have also posted another thread concerning lowering the noise level with baffles - seems to me a higher gear ratio at 70-80mph would lower the decibel level as well. Yeah, call me a wimp - when I was a kid, louder was better - not anymore for this Vietnam Vet.

What would be the cost and the required action taken?

Does BRP customer service/relations monitor these forums at all, to address these questions?

A Euro-spec bike probably isn't going to meet the U.S. standards... :banghead:
Think about the stories you've heard, of "Gray-Market" cars trying to be imported... nojoke

Other than European gear ratio, what other specs would be different. This is why I want a phone number to talk directly to a customer rep.
