• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F3S vs F3T Rear Shock Comparison ??

How do the F3S and F3T rear shocks compare in performance?
I believe the F3S is a Fox Shock and the F3T is a Sachs Shock.
I normally ride my F3T One Up and only moderately aggressive. I've seen articles
about changing the spring to a 600 lbs progressive on the F3S. Will the same spring fit an F3T?
Can this change be done on the F3T? Will this type of change improve the ride response?
Controlling cost is an issue.

I am sure more knowledgeable people will weigh in but to my knowledge both the f3-s and the f3-t have sachs rear shocks. I dont know if they are the same shock. The f3-s only has the fox shocks on the front. The f3-t has the additional air suspension on the back that the rider has to manually inflate, unlike the f3-l and rt where the bike adjusts the airs suspension on its own. I can't compare the two set-ups as i have limited experience on both.

The Year you are talking about may factor in - but early years for sure - the F3S and the F3T were not the same rear shock. Also, the F3S only had Fox up front. The rear F3S and Base F3 Spring (for certain on the early years (2015-2017 - don't know about newer) was sub par. It was not meant for the load of a big guy or passenger. Canam sold (maybe still sells) an "Occasional 2-Up Shock" for around $200. I'm running that guy on my 2015 F3S as it was way cheaper than aftermarket options. I'm a pretty aggressive rider (220lbs solo most of the time) and it's working well for me. the F3T early models did not have the air setup - just the rear shock - but it was not the same rear shock - it was designed better for more weight given the integrated saddlebags.

I would have to do some more digging to speak on the newer models.

What years F3T did not have an air shock. I could be wrong but i thought all f3t's had them but they were manual inflating instead of automatic like the f3L and RT's

I'm incorrect - you are right - the F3T from 2016 up did have the "air"shock - but not the onboard air compressor. It was manual fill through schrader valve.
