• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Went down to Jacksonville this afternoon to see my good friend Wiredux and to give him a hand doing the CAT bypass on his F3S. Fifteen minutes is all it took to do do the job. Then another fifteen to set the ECM. Man does it sound nice. Easy job.

How nice...!!

to have folks like that around. Good to know it's a fifteen minute job, for him anyway, and there was a noticeable improvement in the sound.. :2thumbs:

Could you please explain what is involved in setting the ECM

It is really simple. Let the Spyder idle for 15 minutes. It was a really simple job. Pop off the clamp and 3 springs and mount the new one back up. Bruiser was itching to get his hands dirty on an F3. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1429446213.074545.jpg
As you can see you lighten the F3 by 16.6 LBS.

Am I to understand that the procedure for resetting the ECM is letting the Spyder idle for 15 min

Yes, that is correct. After letting it idle for 15 minutes, remove the key away from the Spyder for 5 minutes. After that ride on to your hearts content. We could tell the ECM was resetting by listening to the exhaust. It is critical that you do not move the throttle at all during the 15 minute period.

Would like some feed back after you put a few hundred miles?
I'm seriously considering putting my CAT back on!
A two day 1450 mile trip mostly freeway can be torture on your ears. Around town is fine.

Thank you, does the short pipe, upgrade the performance or just the sound.

I'll be putting the miles on this coming weekend to SF. I'll post on the ride and MPG.

Any chance of anyone posting a sound chip or an outside drive by video of your F3 with the cat delete ??
