I do think that the helmet would have a better chance of fitting if inserted this way. But that is my biggest gripe with the F3 series of spyders. The looks and size of the frunk. Otherwise, it is one great bike.Michaelscs posted this picture:

Although I'm not sure if his was a "Triple-X"...
I can not get my Schuberth XXXL in the Frunk either. Tired of posts telling me I can.

Im pretty sure it was explained to you the correct orientation needed to have it fit. Please see below pictures of my XXXl Schuberth S2 in my F3.

You have a F3 not a F3-T. The back of the helmit is wider.
Aaah gee, I never thought of trying it the other way. Even with pictures I still get arguments......

As OJ says, the dimensions of Schuberth helmets differs not only between sizes, but also between models. I see pictures of a Schuberth XXL in the trunk showing it definitely WILL fit, and hinting that I must be doing something wrong.
I have tried every possible position and believe I am NOT doing anything wrong. The Schuberth M1 in XXL is obviously a different shape to the model that fits in the frunk. It will not seat right to the bottom of the trunk, and so it catches the lid. My Arai open face XXL is too big also. You can see it bending the frunk as I insert it as any angle, and I am not prepared to force it.
I am not posting this to be contrary, but just to highlight that simply because your particular model and size of a particular helmet fits, does not mean others from the same manufacturer do.
This is irksome, as one of the advertising selling points out here was that you can "pop your helmet in the front trunk when you leave the Spyder"...well you can, but only if you pick the right helmet and have the right shaped head !
Pete
Now you are speaking of an Arai XXL. I have one in my front trunk right this minute out in front of the hotel. It fits fine, loose even.
This is really beginning to sound like you just want something to fuss about. You have been shown by several folks here how it will fit with pics even. If you would rather not use the front trunk for your helmet then fine, but kindly stop trying to claim others that have the same bike and helmet you do are wrong when we use the front trunk for the helmet as designed every day.
