F3-T Small Frunk

I can not get my Schuberth XXXL in the Frunk either. Tired of posts telling me I can.
hel0073.jpghel0072.jpgSo here are the pictures.

I use a small cable lock for helmet and jacket and use frunk just for rain gear, emergency tools, etc. Works better that way for me at least..

Different helmets! The OP's helmet in the first picture is a Schuberth S2 which is a full face helmet and the helmet in Bob's
post is a Schuberth C3 which is a modular (flip-front) helmet. I have an S2 and there is no way it will fit in the F3 frunk.
The shell of the C3 is smaller than the S2.

It is small.....

Seems it is all in the angles...You can get helmets to fit just not much else so the helmet lock on the exterior is the best way to go if you carry other stuff for the ryde. :banghead:

XXXL

I do think that the helmet would have a better chance of fitting if inserted this way. But that is my biggest gripe with the F3 series of spyders. The looks and size of the frunk. Otherwise, it is one great bike.

It is wider at the back then is at the front.

just be careful with the air vent adjuster on the top when inserting. You should be good to go now.

PS...we are not arguing only trying to help as you keep posing the same question. :banghead:

You have a F3 not a F3-T. The back of the helmit is wider.

Aaah gee, I never thought of trying it the other way. Even with pictures I still get arguments......

Different sizing even in Schuberths.

As OJ says, the dimensions of Schuberth helmets differs not only between sizes, but also between models. I see pictures of a Schuberth XXL in the trunk showing it definitely WILL fit, and hinting that I must be doing something wrong.

I have tried every possible position and believe I am NOT doing anything wrong. The Schuberth M1 in XXL is obviously a different shape to the model that fits in the frunk. It will not seat right to the bottom of the trunk, and so it catches the lid. My Arai open face XXL is too big also. You can see it bending the frunk as I insert it as any angle, and I am not prepared to force it.

I am not posting this to be contrary, but just to highlight that simply because your particular model and size of a particular helmet fits, does not mean others from the same manufacturer do.

This is irksome, as one of the advertising selling points out here was that you can "pop your helmet in the front trunk when you leave the Spyder"...well you can, but only if you pick the right helmet and have the right shaped head !;)

F3 and F3T have the exact same frunk. Exact same part numbers even the lid is the same. You have been shown pics of your exact helmet IN an F3 trunk and yet you still continue to argue that it will not fit. I guess you have the one and only F3-XXS (extra small trunk option).

Now you are speaking of an Arai XXL. I have one in my front trunk right this minute out in front of the hotel. It fits fine, loose even.

This is really beginning to sound like you just want something to fuss about. You have been shown by several folks here how it will fit with pics even. If you would rather not use the front trunk for your helmet then fine, but kindly stop trying to claim others that have the same bike and helmet you do are wrong when we use the front trunk for the helmet as designed every day.

Just out of interest, JC.....do you have an Arai CT-Z ?

That's the point I am making, which you appear to have missed in my post......and I have been "speaking" of an Arai XXL, along with a Schubert XXL from my earliest posts, so this is not the revelation you are making it out to be.

I have seen several photos on here, it is true, but have any of them been of a Schubert M1 or an Arai CT-Z? Without that, or your confirmation that the Arai in your trunk is a CT-Z, your claim that all XXL helmets fit in the frunk is unproven. Once photos appear I will gladly print a full retraction and admit to being a goose. I hope you will be prepared to do the same if no such photos appear to back up your claims.
