• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F3-S Suede Seat Cleaning and Care

Just noticed (in the daylight) that my seat has blotchy marks on it. (As if it had some sort of protectant
applied then was rained on).

Any thoughts on a safe cleaning, and, what is anyone else using as a protectant? (I'd rather not head back
to the dealer for a swap-out)

Check with manual for care and cleaning information. It turns out that the seat is not real suede leather--so leather cleaning information is not the solution.

Where in the Owner's Manual?

Couldn't find any reference to cleaning the seat in the manual.
Anybody know where this might be? I also have the "blotches" on the seat...not seriously ugly but not what they should be.

It is not what you think . . . .

. . . . . on the F3-S, the seat's surface is 'texturized' to give it a little more grab. It can look "dappled" or "blotchy" depending on if you like it or not. If you look closely at the catalog or online, you can see it.

Just normal seat care products will work, the dappled look will not go away.

Okay - I'm going with "dappled"

Best seat I've ever been on (had over a dozen m/c over the years) so if it is "dappled," so be it. It's not ugly, just "different." :sour:

Anyway, I've got bigger issues: "Where the @%#$&:banghead:* are my saddlebags!"

I love these seats...oh... last night I tried some Lexol leather cleaner (the PH balanced stuff).... Super hot microfiber
cloth with some of it sprayed ON THE CLOTH, then lathered it up in a nice left-right pattern, then immediately pulled
up the stuff with another micro fiber. Did that twice. The seats look MUCH better to the point of almost no crazy
patterns showing.
