• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F3 RPM's @ 60 MPH in 6th gear

Are you sure about that? Remember, the 1 tooth larger front sprockets don't play nice with the SE machines.
The OLD SEs... that needed to spin more in order to keep the clutch plates happy.
Remember; a larger sprocket up front, lowers engine rpms, probably lessens the rate of acceleration, and might have been an attempt to look for more top-end in a machine that is aero-limited...

This is a factory setup that is designed to add more "bite to the bark", when the loud grip is given a chance to dance!

Well, do it then and let us know how it works out.

Then you might want to be careful telling other people that "Nanny would never know the difference" in regards to swapping the rear. Now, if your willing to give it a shot....?

I think I was running at 4100 rpms at 70 mph in 6th gear. The rear sprocket is almost the same size as the rim.

It is good to see that they have made some improvements to actually make 6th gear useful.

Wouldn't surprise me to see that change transition into the RT now that BRP seems to have figured out where the 1330 likes to run??

The 2014s RT rear sprocket is 79 teeth. The F3 the rear sprocket is 89 teeth North America and 79 teeth for the rest of the world. That is according to the parts fiche.

I can't find the teeth on the RT but 79 sounds about right, the US F3 is 89 for sure.

I am curious why the bigger sprocket for NA and not the rest of the world?

It is rumoured that everything in the USA is bigger! Bigger landmass, Bigger ocean-side beaches, Bigger cars,
Bigger portions (!), Bigger highways, Bigger intellects, Bigger SPROCKETS!

** That's just the polite ones that I can recall!!

Forgot to mention that there is much less belt vibration now that there is more belt wrap.
I noticed that during the two demo rydes but wasn't sure if we had enough time at the higher speed to be sure. Glad to hear it was your impression as well.
