There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. F3 or F3-S

Seeing your thoughts on getting either the F3 or the F3-S is the 10hp difference really noticeable, and what years is the best what about also the 2020 model anybody have experience with them

F3-S is available with manual trans and has cruise control.
Wonder if factory cruise could be added to base F3?
Not having ridden either, I have no comment about shocks.
As for HP, if that extra is only effective at higher RPMs, then it may not be noticeable...just speculating.
Either F3 or F3-S would be an option if I were to trade the Ryker.

Adding cruise was easy on a 2019 Kia Soul, 6 speed manual.
Just added the steering wheel controls for about $70.

F3-S has a sport mode = reduces nanny input for more hooligan riding
F3-S has 89t rear pulley for lower gearing = quicker acceleration. F3 base has 79t ( I think?)
F3-S has upgraded Fox Podium front shocks
F3-S has upgraded ( I think?) dash display
F3-S has electronic cruise control
F3-S has 10 additional HP thru ECU changes (ignition timing/fueling)
F3-S has the option for 6 speed manual transmission.

And, yes, the cruise control assembly can be added for approx $500sh

I don’t think you could add the suspension upgrades and cruise control for the price difference between the F3 and the F3S. It does have the ‘upgraded’ dash that I don’t like. I’d prefer the analog gauges. And even if you upgraded the engine tune to get the 10 hp back, you still don’t get sport mode.

I paid a little over $14000 USD for my F3S. Looks like around a thousand US$ difference. The cheap Elka rear shock is $630, bringing the price difference down to about $400. 2-up conversion kit that adds a rear seat, passenger pegs and grab bars is $370. Granted I bought the F3S-SM6, because I'm not a fan of the semi-auto trans. I'm not bagging on the base model by any means. But for me I wanted the SM6, and that meant the S or the S Special, and that's missing the rear seat which I wanted and includes the full digital gauges which I don't want.

F3 a was 5000 more than base, what i put into my base still doesnt come close to S price. 10 hp pff, sport mode no biggie. I added 2up converstion also. 2000 in extras still does begin at S price not to mention taxes on top. No brainer for me base was an easy choice. Still can add front suspension and still not be at 22000 and that's before taxes.

The sport has the bigger rear sprocket... cruise control and sport mode ...which is important features.. especially sport mode...now if you're an agressive rider ...the sport mode is great..where it really shines is if you remapp the ECU...now combine the remapp ECU and sport mode..now that's a great ride!!!..the 2015 and 2016 sport does not have sport mode..this why I recommend the sport 2017 and later...

I have a 2019 F3 Base model that I bought 8 Months ago, selling it to a my best friends wife and just bought 2017 F3 Limited a couple of days ago(Wife wants to ride with me now). On the 2019 F3 base I added cruise control and heated grips myself for about 250-270 each including shipping. I love the base model, but this was my first Spyder. I was going to get an F3-S, but I decided to go with the base because my bike was a leftover class bike with 125 miles on it and they let me have it really cheap because they needed the room for snowmobiles. Otherwise, I was going after the F3-S because of the extra features mentioned in the previous posts above. However, with all the money I saved I ended up putting it into farkles, not intentionally, it became an addiction :helpsmilie:

I personally just bought a 2020 f3s in a manual and I love it !! the f3 doesn't come in manual. The manuals are hard to come by in Ohio, I rode a semi f3 and I did notice a difference in power.
