• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F3 or a used ST

:agree:You need to test drive both, to make an informative decision. But I would go with the F3 myself!;) Only because I really like them and would love one to compliment my RT. Unfortunately our riding style (touring) and budget (Renos next year)say we stick with our 2012RT. That and iIhave it where it rides like a charm!:ohyea:

test rode f3 today

Rode to Daytona to test ride f3. First opinion looks good, rides great, very comfortable and fast especially like the 6 th gear useful over 70. If I did not have a spyder it would be my first choice but riding my sts round trip today still love my bike. While I like the forward controls still like the sport bike feel of sts. Maybe one day I can have both

I forgot to mention that I love being able to put my feet comfortably on the ground when stopped. I know I know it serves no useful purpose, but it sure gives you a "feel" like you have on two wheels.

:gaah::gaah::gaah: :lecturef_smilie:....Rich, when are you going to realize the twin is an antique and a Dinosaur to boot........I loved my Norton commando, but that was then and this is now ........just sayin Mike

I think you need to do some research on motorcycles. The inline engine was introduced to motorcycles in the early 1900's! I'm not sure how old you are (I'm 40), but early 1900's is a dinosaur to me when it comes to technology.... Just say'n Hubie

F3

For me that would be easy... If money was not a factor I would go with the F3
it's new, bigger engine, different and new, however I may hold off a year and
see how that year model does on the market and service related stuff.
Always remember Never Love something that can't love you back..it's a machine

I liked the ST and now that I'm in the market to purchase my 3rd Spyder.... I'm not sure to go to the F3 or the ST. I'm mainly conserned that I'm going to buy a troubled Lemon in the ST.. But will the F3 have its share of issues too once it really gets on the market?

What are your thoughts?

F-3 Test Drive

I test drove the F3 on Saturday in Daytona. We went on a thirty minute ride including interstate and local road riding. I LOVE the F3. It is very comfortable with the foot forward riding position and the lower seat. The electronic emergency brake is a big improvement. The only negative is the smaller frunk. This machine seemed to be much more powerful than my 2011 RS especially the excelleration from 50 to 60 MPH. The bike felt like it pulled your arms from the handlebars more like a regular motorcycle. The mileage and range is reportedly much better also. I am planning to put my order in this week.

:hun:....Dear Hubie are you saying the 1330 Ace engine was introduced in the early 1900's ...................................Because that's the engine I'm talking about ...also not talking about the Ducati Monster engine ........................And if you are 40 as you say I'm sure you have never ridden a NORTON !!!!!!.....Just sayin......Mike
