Has anyone done their own F3 SE6 oil change yet? I have a few questions:
1) How much oil spills onto the engine when removing the filter cover? (Is it a big mess like the smaller filter on the 990 SE5?)
2) Are the two drain bolts the same thread pitches as the two drain bolts on the 990? Any reason I should not swap to the aftermarket super-magnetic drain plugs?
3) The drain bolt on the left side is surrounded by a black shield. How is that shield removed? I know its not necessary to remove it to change the oil,
but I want to be prepared in case the Allen gets stripped (as others have reported) and to avoid oil getting where I cannot clean it up.
4) My on-board tool kit did not come with a T25 bit to remove the body panels. Did yours?
5) Anything else you recommend for a first-timer on an F3? I do have many years' experience on dozens of 990's.
Thank you!
