• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a 2016 F3 Limited with 8k miles. I'm going to need a new rear tire soon. The tire size on my bike is 225/50R/15. The most recommended tire on the site are the General's Altimax RT43 215/60R/15 (for the RS & RT models NO mention of a F3 replacement). I do not want to replace the tire with another OEM Kenda. I cannot find a 225/50R/15 tire on any site. Can I go to a 60R on my F3 without rubbing issues? There is a substantial tire height difference between a 50 and 60 aspect ratio on the tire dimension charts.

I went with a Kumho Ecsta AST which also got great reviews on this site. It's going on my wife's '14 ST Limited. Purchased tire from tire rack $78, getting it put on Wednesday.

F-3 TIRES

:congrats: & :welcome:..... That is one of the best tires for any Spyder ..... others here have put that size on their F-3's with no issues .... if you are still nervous, just go on E-bay ... first click the Free shipping box .... then type in the tire and size you want ..... they will list the sellers in the order of price ........... good luck, ..... Mike

ALL Spyders have used the same size rear tire since 2008...
Up front: they've only had a tire/wheel change in 2013 that can sort of confuse things...
2008 through 2012: 165/65-14
2013 and later: 165/55-15
(Back to the rear tire:)
Just about anything in the OEM sizing will work just fine.
That's 225/50-15
A 215/60-15 is just a little bit taller, and may make your speedometer read more accurately
A 205/60-15 seems to work out to be almost exactly the same diameter (and circumference) as the OEM size

Now you can start searching for all of the different brands and model tires: Happy Hunting! :D

KUMHO

I'VE BEEN RUNNING THE KUMHO AST ON BOTH MY SPYD3RS.... RS AND NOW THE F3.... ZERO ISSUES....
HOWEVER, I JUST PICKED UP A MICHELIN AND WILL HAVE THAT MOUNTED PRIOR TO MY SUMMER 'LONG HAULS'....

THIS ONE IS A 60's SERIES, WHICH IS A BIT TALLER, WHICH ALSO WILL BRING TO SPEED0 & GPS INTO SINC....
ANY GOOD TIRE THAT IS WITHIN THE 205, 215 OR 225, BY 50, 55 OR 60 SERIES SHOULD BE FINE...
BEST OF LUCK AND RIDE SAFELY....

Thanks to everyone who responded. I feel better now picking the correct rear tire for my bike.

:D Have you made your decision yet? :D
I'll have to get another tire during this riding Season, and I'm STILL kicking through all of the options! nojoke
(Actually; I'll have to get THREE tires...)

I'm going with the General Altimax RT43 215/60R/15. it seems to have the most positive recommendations.
